I bought this for my 5-year old because she wants to do Wii and PS2 DDR when her teen sister does it, but this one is hard for her. She can grow into it, though.

This product doesn't require expensive game system, plugs right into your TV. It's so simple and so much fun! I bought this for my daughter's 9 year birthday. Not only her but her 11 year old sister, my husband, and I enjyoy this. We've spend a lot of time dancing and laughing together. It's cheaper than going out to eat but good for hours and hours of family entertainment!

The product is excellent with one minor flaw. When you miss the arrows, points are deducted so if your child is young they can end up with a score of zero. This in itself is not encouraging and then the display states "failed", whereas a low points score plus a statement such as "try again" etc... is much more likely to keep all kids happy.

It is just a piece of plastics, not mat! So light that it got sticked on my foot. Very easy to slip when dancing. Threw it away on the first day.
