I bought this item because I dread toe shoes. But let me get to the point:
pros:
1. These pads REALLY helped cushion my weight. I can still feel the floor, but the pain has dramatically reduced. (I only tried it out though, I haven't used it through a class yet)
2. You can trim the pads to size so that it doesn't show outside of the toe shoes.
3. For the price, I think it's great. But I haven't tried any other toe pads so I don't know if it's better than the other gel pads.
cons:
1. It cushions the toes, but it's also thick at the pointe, so I probably need to buy a pair of new shoes half size smaller.
2. It doesn't look as pretty as the pictures. In fact it almost looks cheap, but hey, it does what it's there to do.
3. This comment is more on Discount Dance Company than the item itself. The toe pads came in at a reasonable time and shipping didn't take long, but when I opened the USPS package box, the item was open. There is a plastic box the item belongs in, as well as the cardboard tag that comes with it, but all three items were separate, leaving the tag and the toe pads outside of that plastic box. It made me wonder whether the pads are really new, or returned goods.
